RED is working closely with CMD Costruzioni Motori Diesel to realize parallel and serial Hybrid systems, where CMD is responsible for the integration of all electrical components like the electric motor or generator plus inverters, batteries and the HCU (hybrid control unit) interface with the piston engine.
CMD hybrid propulsion systems combine lightweight, high-voltage battery technology with an efficient power management system that optimizes fuel efficiency by balancing energy sources through innovative control strategies, minimizing energy waste and maximizing power output.
